More Reasons to Love Trees
Jill Ettinger Posted on | February 22, 2010 | No Comments Ok, we’re obviously big fans of trees here at PeopleTowels. We are doing what we can to keep them standing upright and glorious, rather than ending up in restroom garbage pins as used paper towels. It’s pretty darn sad when you think about the process: forests are cut down to a) make room for landfills and b) to make paper towels that end up back in the former forest, now a landfill. Big time bummer. Here’s a great piece in TreeHugger that shows just how fun and freaky tree species can be. The trees on the island of Socotra are fascinating, like something out of a Dr. Seuss book, and an all too important reminder of just how precious our dwindling ecosystems are.
