Calling all designers and design enthusiasts! Here’s your chance to flex your design chops! Enter the PeopleTowels’ B.Y.O.Towel Design Contest and inspire millions to make the switch from paper towels to PeopleTowels outside the home. Your design(s) can be inspired by nature, words to live by, or simply cool and sophisticated or irresistibly cute. The possibilities are limitless and it’s up to you to wow and dazzle our judges with your vision!

ELIGIBILITY
PeopleTowels’ B.Y.O.Towel Design Contest is open only to current legal residents of the continental U.S., Alaska, Hawaii, and the District of Columbia. You must be at least 18 years old as of the start date of the Contest. For more complete contest rules, click here.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Entries must meet the following criteria:
- The design must fit a 9” x 9” inch PeopleTowel.
- All aspects of the design must fit within 7.5” x 7.5” inches on a PeopleTowel (the “live area”).
- A maximum of four (4) colors are allowed.
- For initial entry:
- Submit a thumbnail file in 200 x 200 pixels at 72 dpi and no larger than 50kb. File must be in RGB or PMS color and can be in .jpg, .png, or .gif format.
- Save your file as "Title of design_First InitialLast Name" before submitting it to the contest. For example, if the title of your design is "Summer" and your name is "Jane Doe"; save your file as "Summer_JDoe" .
- You can submit up to 5 entries in the contest.
- If you're selected as a finalist, you'll submit a detailed view of your design in 456 x 432 pixels at 72 dpi in RGB or PMS color (.jpg, .png, or .gif) .
- If voted a winning design, the final design file must be set up as 9” x 9” and at least 300 dpi.
CONTEST TIMELINE
October 1-24, 2011 | Submission period
Submit your designs online at www.peopletowels.com/entry between October 1 at 12:01am EDT – October 24 at 11:59pm EDT, 2011. Nine finalists will be chosen from all submissions by our esteemed panel of judges.
October 27-28 | 10th Finalist Voted in by Facebook Fans
PeopleTowels will select 4 wildcard designs for our Facebook fans to vote in as the 10th finalist from October 27 at 11:00am EDT – October 28 at 11:00pm EDT.
October 29-Nov 5 | Public online voting
Online voting for the 10 finalists will be from October 29 at 12:00am EDT – November 5 at 11:59pm EDT, 2011. 1 IP address per vote per day. The winning designs will go on sale on Nov 8, 2011 on peopletowels.com – just in time for holiday shopping!
